Police have announced a reward of ₹ 50,000 for any information about the accused.

Hapur Superintendent of Police Sarvesh Mishra said that witnesses told the investigating officials that minor rape survivor didn’t offer any resistance while being lured by the suspect. This suggests that the suspects could be known to the child or her family. The police are searching for the accused throughout Hapur district, especially at its borders, to see he does not escape. The rape victim’s family has filed a case against “an unknown person”, but the police are not ruling out the possibility of the accused being known to them.
